WhatsApp will not work on various phones after 31st December 2020.
According to media news WhatsApp announced that after 31st December iPhone users using iOS 7 or older will not be able to use WhatsApp services. Similarly Android users using older version 4.0 will not be able to use WhatsApp.

Users needs to upgrade operating systems for iOS and android to use WhatsApp without interruption. Older versions of iphone like 5,6,6S and other needs to upgrade on iOS9 and android users also need to upgrade.
WhatsApp will not work on iPhone and Android older versions from 2021. WhatsApp instructed that users upgrade their OS before 31 December otherwise they will not be able to use WhatsApp.
